Abstract:
The transpubic approach for total prostatectomy is ideal in cases involving small glands that have been resected and reported as stage A tumors. The approach also is ideal for stage B1 and B2 tumors. It allows great ease in the osmosis of the bladder to the urethra and dissection of the lymph nodes in the obturator and iliac areas.
