Physicians and hospitals: the times demand unity

If the voluntary health care system is to continue effectively, then physicians, hospital administrators, and trustees must cooperate in working toward common goals. Ways to enhance communication between physicians and hospitals, including more complete participation in local health systems agencies and better understanding of the mechanism of Professional Standards Review Organizations, were discussed at a conference on physician-hospital relations.
