Should trustees be members of medical staff committees? It's debatable
Trustee : the Journal for Hospital Governing Boards
|May 12, 1978
Abstract:
Participation of trustees on medical staff committees could provide a positive influence on the tripartite hospital structure. Trustees would be made more aware of the workings of the hospital and of the political, economic, legal, and ethical problems involved in decision making. Physicians, in turn, would be more directly exposed to the views of business and industry concerning health care cost control.
