Abstract:
Dispensing hyperalimentation orders in a timely and correct manner can be demanding for staff pharmacists. Using a computer to calculate the amounts of amino acid, dextrose, and electrolyte solutions can greatly reduce pharmacy response time and insure accuracy in filling the physician's order. This report lists a computer program that will do these calculations and also gives consideration to the technical aspects of using the program.
