DRGs and MDs: now's the time to review medical staff policies

The definition of "problem" physicians and the specification of economic cause for their removal from medical staffs may cause boards some problems in the future. To prevent potential conflicts between the medical staff and administration, the authors discuss the need to evaluate current policies and procedures, and the make sure that these strategies are articulated in medical staff bylaws.
