Good doctors aren't always good managers

Despite their increasing involvement in management, many physicians are frustrated in this new role. To some extent, this is because few physicians fully understand the differences between clinical and managerial skills. In this article, the author discusses those differences and reviews ways in which managerial skills can be used to help solve common medical staff problems.
