AHA to fight HCFA's proposed uniform reporting rules

Events at the AHA's 1979 annual meeting included approval of a strategy for mobilizing response to the uniform reporting requirement of the 1977 Medicare-Medicaid Antifraud and Abuse Amendments, reaffirmation of AHA's commitment to the Voluntary Effort, an AHA pledge to investigate whether Health Systems Agencies can dictate hospital board composition, and talks by government and association leaders concerning regulation, national health insurance, and the VE.
