Abstract:
Pyrogen obtained from granulocytes induces granulocytosis in normal, endotoxin-tolerant and spinal animals alike, whereas heat treatment destroys the granulocytosis inducing effect. It is concluded that GP and LIF are identical, or nearly identical, factors.
