Background:

Snapping scapula is an uncommon source of shoulder pain.
It results from mechanical impingement between the scapula and rib cage.

Observation:

A case study highlighted the diagnostic utility of CT scans.
CT imaging complemented clinical assessment for snapping scapula.

Findings:

CT scans revealed the bony component contributing to snapping scapula.
Three-dimensional (3D) reconstructions significantly aided in diagnosing this condition.

Implications:

CT scans with 3D reconstructions are valuable tools for diagnosing snapping scapula.
Improved diagnosis can lead to better management of shoulder pain related to this entity.
