Abstract:
ICN's theme for its centennial in 1999 is "Celebrating Nursing's Past; Claiming the Future". Cross-cultural partnerships to support and develop nurses' associations in financially deprived countries are one way the better-off nurses' associations are ensuring that nurses everywhere can claim their future. Such a cooperation project developed by the Danish Nurses' Organization in cooperation with the Romanian Nurses' Association and the UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) office in Romania is described below.
