Abstract:
Thailand's rigid hierarchy discourages independent thought and generates nurses unsuited to apply Western processes. Theories or frame-works can provide only a guideline, not a recipe. Western concepts do not match the demands of Thai nursing and need to be reinterpreted in the context of Thai culture.
