Parents and Society: How Much the Problem; How Much the Solution?

Adolescence is a psychosocial maturational process-the developmental continuum between childhood and adulthood during which profound and dramatic physical, psychosocial, cognitive, and moral-ethical changes occur. Many problems that become manifest during adolescence are strongly influenced by parental, environmental, and societal factors. This article uses several case studies to examine the types of problems that can occur.
