Parenting the Sexually Abused Adolescent

This article address the special problems and concerns for parents of adolescent girls who have been sexually assaulted. Parental responses to the sexual abuse of their child, the effects of sexual abuse on a child's behavior, and strategies that may help the parent and the adolescent to copy with the emotional crisis created by the assault are discussed.
