Differential Effects of Lipid-lowering Drugs in Modulating Morphology of Cholesterol Particles
Published on: November 10, 2017
Abstract:
Hyperlipidemias affect one person in ten, increasing the risk of illness and premature death. Although they are asymptomatic early in life, their identification and successful treatment in adolescence can establish management regimens and habits that protect and extend life. This chapter describes the diagnosis and management of hyperlipidemias and discusses the value of universal screening of adolescents.
