Abstract:
Acute respiratory infections are the most common reason that people seek medical care. This chapter emphasizes evaluation and management of uncomplicated acute respiratory infections that are commonly encountered in the clinical practice of adolescent medicine. Serious complications and conditions encountered in chronically ill adolescents are briefly discussed.
