Urinary Tract Infection

Urinary tract infections are among the most common bacterial diseases encountered by clinicians in practice. They are estimated to result in more than five million office visits annually, at a cost of more than one billion dollars. The etiology, presentation, diagnosis, and treatment of urinary tract infections in female and male adolescents are reviewed.
