Abstract:
A once overlooked situation, the education of people with disabilities has over the past 20 years gained the attention of educators, lawmakers, and health care providers. Among the many issues addressed here are legal requirements for public education, the role of health care providers in education, eligibility for special education services, and the transition to post-secondary education, training, and employment.
