Human Papillomavirus Infections of the Genital Tract in Adolescents

The author describes both the histopathologic and molecular diagnosis of human papillomavirus in the lower genital tract. The wide range of other issues that are addressed include transmission to adolescent girls, prevalence in sexually active adolescents, prognosis of papillomavirus and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, and prevention and treatment.
