Abstract:
Vaccinations against hepatitis B, varicella, tetanus, and diphtheria are especially important during the adolescent years. Recommendations for some of these vaccines have recently changed, and other seemingly rare infections are reemerging, making this topic highly relevant to adolescent care. In this article, the author reviews the composition of these illnesses and outlines guidelines for prevention and treatment.
