Summary

Lateral epicondylitis, commonly known as tennis elbow, is linked to physical damage in the extensor carpi radialis brevis (ECRB) muscle. Morphological abnormalities in the ECRB muscle suggest cumulative mechanical or metabolic overload contribute to decreased performance.
