Xenobiotics and cell Death/Injury in neurodegenerative diseases

With the "graying of America," the prevalence of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer disease (AD) and Parkinson disease (PD) will make increasingly greater demands on Medicare/Medicaid resources, which will greatly strain the national economy. It is imperative that prevention and intervention strategies for these diseases be developed now in order to prevent a bleak future impact.
