Early ultrasound can detect rotator cuff tears in traumatic shoulder dislocations. Patients under 60 and women are at higher risk for these tears, with limited arm elevation indicating potential injury.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the incidence of rotator cuff tears in patients with primary traumatic anterior shoulder dislocations using ultrasonography.

  • To assess the utility of active arm elevation as an indicator of rotator cuff tears.
