Summary

A seven-year-old child experienced severe accidental hypothermia after prolonged cold exposure. Minimally invasive rewarming techniques, including humidified warmed gases and intravenous solutions, were successfully used for recovery.

  • These included the administration of humidified warmed gases and intravenous fluids warmed to 40°C.

Implications:

  • Successful rewarming was achieved using less invasive methods.
