Abstract:
The disordered breathing pattern in neurotic phobias results in deep-rooted vegetovisceral manifestations and somatisation of phobias. Changing the breathing pattern during the psychotherapeutic sessions makes for neutralizing the disordered breathing cycle in the patient, and, moreover, permits this way of dealing with the problem concerned to be used as a kind of self-regulation during the development of phobias.
