Summary

Carbon dioxide pneumoperitoneum increases intracranial pressure (ICP) by reducing cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) absorption. This study demonstrates that abdominal insufflation significantly inhibits CSF absorption, supporting the hypothesis that impaired CSF outflow contributes to elevated ICP.
