Ovarian volume is an important tool in the screening, diagnosis and monitoring the treatment of conditions such as polycystic ovarian syndrome, ovarian cancer and adolescent abnormalities. In reproductive medicine, measurement of ovarian volume has a role in the assessment of ovarian reserve and prediction of response to superovulation.
