Onychomycosis caused by Blastoschizomyces capitatus

Summary
This study reports the first English literature case of Blastoschizomyces capitatus causing a nail infection secondary to paronychia in a healthy patient. The organism was identified using standard methods, ultrastructural analysis, and molecular probing.
