Abstract:
Injuries to major arteries and veins continue to result in loss of life and limb. Successful management of such injuries requires an integrated team approach with careful attention given to resuscitation of shock, technical aspects of surgical procedures, and adjunctive management. This review addresses current concepts relating to the problem of vascular trauma.
