Abstract:
Endoscope-assisted extraction and curettage of epidermal cysts on the face has been successfully performed in five patients. An incision was made in the external acoustic meatus close to the tragus. Another incision was made behind the earlobe. Through one incision, the 30 degrees, 4-mm-diameter endoscope was inserted. The other incision was used for the insertion of forceps, scissors and curettes. All of the cysts were extracted without additional incisions. All of the patients were satisfied with the outcome. This method is applicable in patients to reduce visible scarring on the cheek.
