Summary

Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients show increased prostaglandin E2 in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), suggesting cyclo-oxygenase inhibitors may help by limiting prostaglandin production. Brain cyclo-oxygenase activity was not elevated in AD.
