    Area of Science:

    • Plastic Surgery
    • Aesthetic Medicine

    Background:

    • Cosmetic abdominoplasty often faces criticism due to frequent disadvantages and complications.
    • Scar length, adipose infiltration, umbilicus positioning, and postoperative risks limit aesthetic outcomes.

    Observation:

    • A new therapeutic approach integrates recent technical progress with neglected surgical techniques.
    • Liposuction, especially at the operation's start, thins the abdominal wall.
    • Ultrasound use is essential in specific regions.

    Findings:

    • Neo-umbilicoplasty using an hourglass plan and four-flap abdominoplasty yields natural results with no visible scar.
    • Harmonious umbilicus positioning is achieved, offering an alternative to classical repositioning.
    • Liposuction of the pubic region and hairline lowering enhance aesthetic possibilities.

    Implications:

    • This technique significantly decreases the frequency of abdominoplasty disadvantages and complications.
    • It offers a more optimistic outlook for cosmetic abdominoplasty, though indications remain selective.
    • Classifications guide treatment choices based on clinical signs.
