[Treatment of chronic pancreatitis]

For the last 25 years incidence of chronic pancreatitis (CP) has risen 18 times. The treatment of CP is aimed at relief of pain syndrome, suppression of pancreatic secretion, control of inflammation, reduction of hypertension in the ducts, elimination of self-activation of the enzymes and autolytic processes in the pancreas as well as intoxication, dehydration, electrolytic disorders.
