[The development of strength in the masticatory muscles and its sensory control]

By means of inductive dynamometers the absolute force of mastication as well as factors influencing that force are studied. In addition to the mechanical effects resulting from the lower jaw's acting as lever arm, the pulp, especially its coronal portion, showed a dominating influence on the extent of the developed adduction force.
