- Pancreatic carcinoids exhibit higher serotoninergic hormone production, advanced stage at presentation, and poorer outcomes than other foregut carcinoids.
- The organ of origin is a critical factor influencing hormonal activity and clinical trajectory in patients with foregut carcinoids.
