Purpose of the Study:

  • Thirty-nine potential organ donors diagnosed with brain death were monitored in Intensive Care Units.
  • Hormone levels (ADH, ACTH, TSH, prolactin, cortisol, aldosterone, FT3, FT4, renin) and metabolic parameters (serum lactate, plasma osmolality) were measured at diagnosis (T0) and 6 hours later (T6).
