The gnotobiotic foal in the study of infectious diseases
Abstract:
A method of rearing germ-free gnotobiotic foals is described. To date, four foals have been infected with rhinopneumonitis and the only clinical signs of infection have been a transient fever and leukopaenia; no detailed results are, as yet, available.
