A tale of too many cities

Laying off employees, cutting services, even closing their doors ... hospitals in Alabama and across the nation are trying hard to tread the treacherous waters caused by the payment reductions in the Balanced Budget Act. This article attempts to clarify the impact, point out the areas where hospitals could have success in fixing some of the provisions, and show the devastating impact it's already having on Alabama facilities.
