Summary

Multiple spontaneous cholecystoenteric fistulas are rare complications of chronic cholecystitis. This case highlights successful surgical management of coexisting cholecystoduodenal and cholecystocolonic fistulas.

  • Plain abdominal X-ray revealed pneumobilia, a key indicator of bilioenteric fistula.

Findings:

  • Preoperative diagnostics including barium enema, upper GI series, and ERCP accurately identified one cholecystoduodenal and two cholecystocolonic fistulas.
  • Surgical exploration confirmed the fistulas, leading to successful cholecystectomy, fistula division, and primary bowel repair.
