Summary

Researchers identified phenotypically mixed virions, containing Human T-lymphotropic virus type I (HTLV-I) glycoproteins, within Human Immunodeficiency Virus type 1 (HIV-1) infections. These mixed virions contribute to expanded viral tropism and were detected using immunogold labeling electron microscopy.
