Abstract:
The health care teams dealing with the long-term care resident with ESRD need to develop and implement ethical, humanistic and practical guidelines which enhance the continuity of comprehensive medical, psychosocial, and nutrition care. Increased quality of life, heightened satisfaction, improved nutritional status, and decreased feelings of isolation are important potential benefits to these patients.
