The New Zealand Medical Journal
|July 14, 1976
Abstract:
A new potent fungicidal preparation, miconazole nitrate 2 percent (Gynodaktarin) was used in 40 patients, both pregnant, with vulvovaginal candidiasis. It was as effective in pregnant as in non-pregnant patients. Retreatment in three cases of recurrence was successful. There were no side effects reported, and the drug was found to be safe for pregnant patients and their offspring.
