Palatal patch-grafts in post areas of subperiosteal implants

Transplantation of palatal patch-grafts before insertion of subperiosteal implants can be helpful in producing a better stress-bearing area for a prosthesis. Careful use of the technique assures adequate attached mucosa around the implant posts and reduces the possibility of infection and wound dehiscence.
