Exercise and insulin sensitivity: a review.

Summary
Regular physical activity and training significantly improve insulin sensitivity. Exercise enhances glucose uptake acutely and for hours afterward, while training leads to lasting metabolic adaptations beneficial for preventing and managing insulin resistance.
