Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the association between physician productivity and the rate of preventive service delivery in a fee-for-service primary care setting.
  • To determine if physician productivity, measured by relative value units (RVUs), correlates with the provision of preventive services to adult patients.

  • A retrospective chart review of 452 adult patients across 13 primary care physicians (8 family practitioners, 5 internists) was conducted.
