Background:

  • Keratoacanthomas are common benign tumors.
  • Grzybowski's generalised eruptive keratoacanthomas is a rare variant.

Observation:

  • A 47-year-old woman presented with hundreds of evolving keratoacanthoma lesions.
  • She also had scleroderma-like facial changes and ectropion.
  • No human papillomavirus was detected.

Findings:

  • Histological examination confirmed keratoacanthoma.
  • Acitretin, cyclophosphamide, and methotrexate were ineffective.
  • Blepharoplastic surgery provided partial relief for ocular symptoms.

Implications:

  • The etiology of Grzybowski's generalised eruptive keratoacanthomas remains unknown.
  • A genetic defect is suspected as a potential cause.
  • This case highlights treatment challenges for rare skin neoplasms.
