Abstract:
1. Older adults are a highly spiritual and religious group of individuals. 2. Nurses neglect spiritual interventions for older adults because of a fear of imposing their own philosophies, and lack of knowledge about the abstract. 3. Nurses need to be aware of spiritual needs not related to Judeo-Christian concepts. 4. The profound benefits to humankind of religious practice and spiritual well-being among most life forms has been reported.
