Abstract:
Hepatitis C is a relatively common blood-borne disease with risk considerations for health professionals, parenteral drug users, and other at-risk people. Medical and dental professionals have had to familiarize themselves with the rapidly emerging information about this form of hepatitis in order to treat infected patients and protect themselves, their coworkers, and others from exposure. This article summarizes the current status of scientific and clinical evidence with regard to hepatitis C.
