Summary

Oxytocin counteracts alpha(2)-adrenoceptor-induced feeding in rats by altering receptor binding in the hypothalamus and amygdala. This suggests an antagonistic interaction between oxytocin and alpha(2)-receptors influencing feeding behavior.
