Background:

  • Cutaneous scald burns can impair skin perfusion and lead to edema.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the effects of ibuprofen and heparin on skin perfusion and edema in rabbit ears with scald burns.
  • To compare the efficacy of ibuprofen and heparin against a saline control in a rabbit scald burn model.
