Gonadoblastomas, hormonally active tumors in patients with intersex conditions, can elevate serum beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG). This case highlights elevated peripheral serum beta-HCG in a patient with XY gonadal dysgenesis, preventing unnecessary diagnostic searches.
